When these formulas include nonlinearities, the diversity of generated configurations explodes, creating entire universes to explore.\n\n In the 1980s, through the Computer Recreations column in Scientific American, I began reading articles on fractal geometry. Among them, besides the famous Mandelbrot set, one simple formula left a lasting impression on me. This formula, when iterated, generates captivating images and was named HOPALONG by its creator, Barry Martin. \n\n By varying the parameters within the formula, one can produce endlessly diverse and fascinating configurations. These sometimes resemble glasswork, embroidered fabrics, or even micrographs of cellular tissues. \n\n In this work, you can explore the multitude of configurations generated by the formula.
